Carnelian is the stone that carries the glow of the sun. Its warm hues — from soft apricot to deep reddish brown — are created by iron oxide that colors the microcrystalline quartz structure. When light hits the stone, it creates a glass-like glow that feels both sensual and powerful, like a glow that never quite goes out.
It is one of the most beloved varieties of chalcedony, prized for thousands of years. In ancient Egypt, Carnelian was called the “Sunset Stone” because it was believed to carry the warmth and life force of the sun. Warriors wore it for courage, speakers for eloquence, and creators for inspiration.
Carnelian is known as a stone for:
- Courage and strength — worn by warriors for physical and mental strength
- Creativity and passion — associated with fire, creation and vitality
- Confidence and expression — said to help the wearer speak clearly and boldly
- Motivation and drive — traditionally linked to ambition, perseverance and drive
- Vitality and energy — its warm color is associated with joy of life and forward movement
In many cultures, Carnelian has been seen as a talisman for success, courage, and personal power.
The stones are approximately 2x2cm and vary in color and shape. Sold individually.
